Daily Prompt: Do Opposite When You Do All Three?

Daily Prompt: Opposite Day

If you normally write non-fiction, post a photo. If you normally post images, write fiction. If you normally write fiction, write a poem. If you normally write poetry, draw a picture. (New) photographers, artists, poets: show us OPPOSITE.

I have been known to write a poem or two.
Sometimes happy, sometimes blue.
Fictional stories thrown in, a few.
A scattered picture of me and you.

Today’s prompt came as a surprise.
What would I do here, compromise?
I could always write a pack of lies.
That would finish me off, my own demise.

I thought of a story of fiction to write.
A life of children to bring to light.
Of how love being shown is always right.
Saying I love you last thing at night.

To give a small hug and say I love you.
Does not take blood, does not cost too.
To find it hard to say and to show is true.
To turn away from God is the last thing to do.

If you have the love of God in your heart.
The family stays together and never apart.
The light of his love will shine, strong like a spark.
Your words will ring true, sung like a lark.

A simple prayer to those who have lost their way.
Please listen to what I have to say.
God did not abandon you or not hear your prayer, as you say.
He just answered it slowly in a different way.

When we lose a loved one so close and so dear.
Perhaps backs are turned from God from fear.
If we look at it from fresh eyes it may be clear.
The suffering spared, had they stayed here.

To see a machine that is all that gives one life.
Be it a father, sister, brother or wife.
If the pain and suffering would be like a cut from a knife.
Perhaps God’s plan was to spare that one’s suffering strife.

We must get on and cherish those near.
They could be gone in a flash or hurt severe.
Say the words today that make them dear.
Don’t hold back from anger or fear.

Anger will rob you from life’s golden treasures.
Hope will make it grow by leaps and measures.
Love will make it strong and bring you pleasures.
Life is too short, so grow angel feathers.

So find you smile and love your children as well.
It will cleanse your heart and will break the spell.
Children learn what they see and what is on the shell.
By your example is what their life will tell.

We teach hate with cruel words, love is shown by doing.
If the love is not seen, then resentment comes spewing.
A simple fix with prayer is the answer of cueing.
To turn back to God and allow his love to start viewing.

Daily Prompt: Unconventional Love In Writing

Daily Prompt: Unconventional Love

Over the weekend, we explored different ways to love. Today, tell us about the most unconventional love in your life.

Photographers, share a photo that says unconventional.

The love shown by other blog sites for your writings.  I awoke this morning to have received three awards in one from http://nanuschka.wordpress.com

The instructions were quite simple:

The rules for the awards are as follows:

  1. Display the Award Certificate on your website.
  2. Announce your win with a post and link to whoever presented you with the award.
  3. Present 15 awards to deserving bloggers.
  4. Drop them a comment to tip them off after you have linked them in the post.
  5. Post 7 interesting things about yourself:

3-3in-1 1-3-in-1

2-3-in-1

So here are the Awards.  This is about as unconventional as it gets.  This is an honor.

Seven Interesting Things about Myself:

  1. The sunlight gives me migraines so I am not able to go outside much.
  2. I love fresh air so my windows are open even on chilly days
  3. I do not leave the house very much
  4. It takes me forever to get to sleep at night and stay asleep.
  5. I love to paint with acrylic and oil paints on canvas but rarely do it.
  6. I love my coffee in the morning
  7. I do not like to be waken during the night for a dumb reason.  If the house is not on fire or a tornado, or an emergency, let me sleep or I am not a nice person.

Reflections back upon a month, just thirty days to go
Perhaps your life was full of fun, perhaps full of woe
From start to end we have had the rain
Could it have effected my brain?

The thoughts are not rolling out as such
The words not flowing, not saying much
Perhaps the absence of coffee is why
This is so true I can not lie

The Prompt was to reflect on a month gone by
Perhaps it is best to let a sleeping dog lie
I plan to move forward and see what is new
The sky should be sunny, bright and blue

So this is my plan that I have decided
Perhaps my brain wont be so divided
Going this way and that doing ten different tasks
For each of them, wearing different masks

Perhaps I am different than the rest
As you read the Prompts  you will see the best
To be inspired by a prompt is so grand
Some days it boosts you to beat the band

Then other days the Prompt is dull and boring
To the point where it totally leaves me snoring
Perhaps tomorrow will be an inspiration indeed
That will take my writing into full speed

So here are the Daily Prompt Writers who took on the challenge full steam:

  1. Ilya Fostiy. Imprint | Markovich Arts
  2. Mess | Musings from a practical mystic
