Interesting Book I Am Reading

During Sunday School Class, the topic of a book came up that sounded very intriging.

Lee Strobel (www.LeeStrobel.com), with a journalism degree from the University of Missouri and a Master of Studies in Law degree from Yale Law School, was the award-winning legal editor of the Chicago Tribune and a spiritual skeptic until 1981. His books include four Gold Medallion winners and the 2005 Christian Book of the Year (coauthored with Garry Poole). He and his wife live in Colorado.

First of all to find out that he was an atheist when he first began was a surprise to me.  He only began to investigate due to his wife becoming a Christian.  His book has become a movie if you are not patient enough to read a book so look to see if it is available in DVD in your area.

Sorry I am not giving away about the book….read it for yourself and I will say that you will be glad that you did.  Just do not expect to get much done around the house as it is one of those can’t put it down books once you start to read it.

Daily Prompt: Books I read over again without Boredom

Daily Prompt: Second Time Around

Tell us about a book you can read again and again without getting bored — what is it that speaks to you?

In a few words, that would be my cookbooks and crochet books.  I use these as resource books and when bored I do sit and read them when I am not feeling up to reading a novel or a book of non-fiction.

I am a member of Good Reads as you can tell by my side wall.  I have been stagnant on two books for a while.  They are great books and very interesting.
I just have too busy of a life right at the moment to just sit and read.

sit and read
When all of my projects are finished, or I happen to get a magic genie who gives me a huge claw foot soaker tub, then I might be persuaded to take the time to sit in a hot tub and relax with a good book.

the tub
Right now we have a baby tub as our bathroom was designed for a family who stood under 5′.
We installed the hand held shower so that we can at least enjoy a decent shower without bending down to take it.

When the claw foot tub or soaker tub arrives then perhaps life will be different..that is on the list, right behind the hot water heater and the dishwasher.

What is the book that you constantly find yourself reading?  Besides the Bible.
I did not include that one because most of us do that on a regular basis as a given.
Would love to hear.

Here are what one other Daily Prompt writer had to say on the subject:

Due to my writing so early in the morning check back during the day to see what more Daily Prompt ideas came about.

To participate, tag your posts with DPchallenge and leave a link to your post in the comments. Please be sure your post has been specifically written in response to this challenge; obvious attempts to link-bait will be deleted. We’ll keep an eye on the tag and highlight some of our favorites on Freshly Pressed each Friday.

This week’s Mind the GapHow do you prefer to read, with an eReader like a Kindle or Nook, or with an old school paperback in hand? Take the poll (below) and then explain your opinion by blogging about it on your site. Tag your post “DPchallenge,” so that we can be sure to find your contribution to the challenge.

Since we are asking this question I toss it to my readers and ask which do you prefer.  I do own a Kindle but also have a library of books that I do enjoy just sitting down and reading.
Guess I am on the fence with this one as it depends what mood I am in…
on the fence
I received mine as a birthday present from my youngest daughter.  It has been used quite a lot by both my hubby and myself.
kindle
We use the Kindle when we go for a long day to doctor appointments.  That has all of my hubby’s classic books that I got from Amazon for free.  Great amusement for him for the day and not a ton of heavy books to carry around. Will I upgrade?  That is a good question.
Take The Poll and Let me know what you think..
Please Be sure to place your vote…thank you
