Interesting Book I Am Reading

During Sunday School Class, the topic of a book came up that sounded very intriging.

Case for Christ/Case for Faith Compilation [Kindle Edition]

Lee Strobel (www.LeeStrobel.com), with a journalism degree from the University of Missouri and a Master of Studies in Law degree from Yale Law School, was the award-winning legal editor of the Chicago Tribune and a spiritual skeptic until 1981. His books include four Gold Medallion winners and the 2005 Christian Book of the Year (coauthored with Garry Poole). He and his wife live in Colorado.

First of all to find out that he was an atheist when he first began was a surprise to me.  He only began to investigate due to his wife becoming a Christian.  His book has become a movie if you are not patient enough to read a book so look to see if it is available in DVD in your area.

Sorry I am not giving away about the book….read it for yourself and I will say that you will be glad that you did.  Just do not expect to get much done around the house as it is one of those can’t put it down books once you start to read it.

Daily Prompt: Hello Book It Has Been A While

Daily Prompt: Bookworm

Tell us about the last book you read (Why did you choose it? Would you recommend it?).

To go further, write a post based on its subject matter.

Photographers, artists, poets: show us WORDS.

I have had two books sitting on my shelf that I have been reading.  For some reason, reading does not come as easy to me now that I am older as it did in my youth.

Not counting my Kindle subscription for http://www.magazines.com/crochet-today

Crochet Today! Magazine

I read that every month when it comes out as I have students who need new patterns. I also did not include all my cookbooks as they are reference books.

The most intriguiging book that I actually did audio was debated when I was in college and I was in the Literary Guild.  I was on the panel and due to the book being auditory I picked up a lot that the basic reader on the panel did not.

The audio version was more indepth and you could feel what the author was getting across by the tones of the voices.  I do not kiss and tell so you are on your own to find out details.  I am not the person who sits in the room and tells you the ending of the movie before it is over.

My next purchase is to get the two hard cover books on audio.  I seem to actually get through books much better that way.  Since my kindle died due to being plugged into the wrong outlet, I have to decide what new one I want to get.  That will start me on my way to my audio adventure.

Daily Prompt: Books I read over again without Boredom

Daily Prompt: Second Time Around

Tell us about a book you can read again and again without getting bored — what is it that speaks to you?

In a few words, that would be my cookbooks and crochet books.  I use these as resource books and when bored I do sit and read them when I am not feeling up to reading a novel or a book of non-fiction.

I am a member of Good Reads as you can tell by my side wall.  I have been stagnant on two books for a while.  They are great books and very interesting.
I just have too busy of a life right at the moment to just sit and read.

sit and read
When all of my projects are finished, or I happen to get a magic genie who gives me a huge claw foot soaker tub, then I might be persuaded to take the time to sit in a hot tub and relax with a good book.

the tub
Right now we have a baby tub as our bathroom was designed for a family who stood under 5′.
We installed the hand held shower so that we can at least enjoy a decent shower without bending down to take it.

When the claw foot tub or soaker tub arrives then perhaps life will be different..that is on the list, right behind the hot water heater and the dishwasher.

What is the book that you constantly find yourself reading?  Besides the Bible.
I did not include that one because most of us do that on a regular basis as a given.
Would love to hear.
