We wish him well on his journey.  We are praying for his safety and that people will meet him and be kind.
We are glad that he found another bicyclist to spend some time with.
This will encourage him to carry on and finish his journey to Los Angeles California.

The one candid appearance of me lol was at the Korean Restaurant “New Korean Restaurant” in Clarksville, Tennessee.
I am usually the one taking the pictures.

That makes for very few pictures of myself in my gallery.

Road Trip A-Z Challenge So Ho Woo at Dinner & Departure

Post A-to-Z Road Trip [2013]

http://www.a-to-zchallenge.com/2013/05/want-to-join-us-for-ultimate-road-trip.html

We decided to treat Su Ho Woo to some authentic Korean food so we took him to a local restaurant in our area for a buffet where he could get everything from fresh seafood to Kimchi. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kimchi

The New Korean Restaurant is located at 2030 Ft. Campbell Blvd in Clarksville, TN and their number is (931) 645-6479  since you can do dine in or carry out.  They are open seven days a week.  Monday – Thursday 11-10, Friday and Saturday 11-11 and Sunday 1-9.

I will let the pictures do the talking for me.

It was good to the last drop.  We came home and sat around a fire in the pit that is on our back patio until time to go to bed, just discussing the different cultures and various topics.

This morning, I made sure that he had a big breakfast to start him out on his journey

CIMG0105

Along with juice, eggs and toast he was set to prepare for his journey.

CIMG0103 CIMG0104

Hubby and Su Ho Woo went over his travel route so that he would know what elements and conditions he could expect.  Also what routes to follow that would make his journey easier.

CIMG0106 CIMG0107 CIMG0108 CIMG0109 CIMG0110 CIMG0111 CIMG0112 CIMG0113CIMG0121CIMG0122

Just before his departure he surprised us both with a gift and something to always remember him by.

CIMG0123 CIMG0124 CIMG0125 CIMG0126 CIMG0127

We miss his presence already and wish him a safe journey on his quest.  He is going to try and check in every so often to send me pictures and keep us updated so that I can blog about his progress across the USA to Los Angeles California.

Should you see a lone biker out there with flags, stop and say hello.  That might just make their day.  It might enrich your life more than theirs.
May we show him kindness the entire way of his trip.

God Bless him for his quest and for what it stands for.

Road Trip A-Z Challenge Day 17

Post A-to-Z Road Trip [2013]

http://www.a-to-zchallenge.com/2013/05/want-to-join-us-for-ultimate-road-trip.html

This afternoon, while my husband was on his way to the local store, he passed a biker on the side of the road.  Many people during the course of the day, I am certain passed this same biker and thought nothing of it.  My hubby quickly ran his errands and then proceeded to find the biker on his way home.

What had caught the attention of my hubby was the small flags that were flying on on back of the bicycle.  He invited him to join us in our home for the evening.

His name is SuHo Woo.  He is riding from Washington D. C. to Los Angeles California on his bicycle to signify the need for peace in South Korea.

He is soon to be 30 yrs. of age.  He is fascinating to sit down and converse with.  Only certain sections of the country have given him a cold shoulder and have not shown a welcome hospitality to him.  Shame on them.  They are the ones who missed out.

CIMG2654

He is a true gentleman in all aspects of the word.  Very polite and respectful.  He had lunch with us of pulled pork, southern baked beans and southern potato salad from a local restaurant.  He was able to taste some real Southern style foods that come directly from our area.  Davie’s Hot House B- B -Q (1754 Woodlawn Rd, Clarksville, TN 37042) if you happen to come to the outskirts of Clarksville and are hungry some time.  They are only open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Plan accordingly.

CIMG2655 CIMG2656 CIMG2657

This is going to be a long journey for this young man.  It is a way for him to clear his head and look bright into the future.  He has overcame back injury through exercise and the biking is something that he truly enjoys.

CIMG2658 CIMG2659 CIMG2660

He also has his camera so while I was snapping shots, I had to capture memories of today for him as well.  Tonight we are taking him to a local Korean Restaurant as a treat.  My hubby is just as excited as Su Ho Woo.  It is one of my hubby’s favorite places to go.  I will be taking pictures throughout the meal and will blog about it upon our return.

He is staying the night with us and will continue on his journey after I have fed him a hearty breakfast to give him plenty of energy for his ride.

Best of luck to Su Ho Woo and his journey as well as the cause that he rides for.

Till after Dinner,

Tammye Honey

Road Trip A-Z Challenge, Day 17 Tomorrow (Took a detour)

Post A-to-Z Road Trip [2013]

Between our store for Tupperware and answering phone calls for MikeFest 2013, we have been super busy today.  We are on our own type of road trip on a quest of trying to track down the last few vendors to make our total arrive at 30 on premises Vendors who will be at this years event.

We are inquiring about fresh honey vendors in our local area who might want a booth.  There is an entire association in our area so we are hoping for a response before we become full.

We are still looking for an Avon representative (Hoping that we have found one).

We are looking for someone who hand makes Americana Items.

We are down to the wire now with June 8th starting into the count down..

Road Trip A-Z Challenge Day 16

Post A-to-Z Road Trip [2013]

http://www.a-to-zchallenge.com/2013/05/want-to-join-us-for-ultimate-road-trip.html

Sixteen days on the road is a long trip.  Since I had planned for this to be a cross country trip in a way, to last at least 30 days that would put us at our road marker of the midpoint.

My grander scheme was to do this for a year.  I am not certain if I have the steam to do that.  Time will tell.  Can I make it interesting and vibrant enough  to keep readers attention and drive to want to come back each day to see where it has gone or will they fade from boredom?

My first stop is a blog site that is new to me and I have enjoyed the wonderful photography:

http://jennifernicholewells.com/ Check her out as she has been Freshly Pressed.

Next stop is a shout out to someone who wrote a poem to his wife as a gift for their anniversary:

http://ivonprefontaine.com/2013/05/22/marriage/ I felt compelled to mention that as the Daily Prompt today was about “Jealousy” and there is obviously nothing like that going on in their strong relationship.

Our Next stop is some more great photography:

http://carolwelsh.wordpress.com/ She never ceases to amaze me with her work.

Great reading ahead as we make our next stop so hold on to your seat:

http://whoatethedaisies.wordpress.com/ Not giving it away, you have to go see.

http://revisedgewater.wordpress.com/ Told you not telling…

http://stuphblog.wordpress.com/ I will say with this one I am glad that the YouTube Tuesday is back…There are great articles also.

For a blog site that has only been around since August of this Year, lets give a warm welcome to:

http://khanasweb.com Welcome aboard and may you have many blessed years of  Writing and Photography in your future.

Well that will do it for today as I have an article to write about why my stuff has been so short…allergies…

Till tomorrow…when we are on the road again…

Night time half staffFor Oklahoma Victims of Storm

In memory of those we have lost I am not doing a blog for a road trip today but am leaving this thought with you for the people who have come forward as volunteers and have contributed in helping to find each and every one of the missing, wounded and may our prayers be with every family involved.  The losses are incredible and our hearts ache.

See you tomorrow for our next leg of the journey.

Road Trip A-Z Challenge Lucky Day 13

Post A-to-Z Road Trip [2013]

http://www.a-to-zchallenge.com/2013/05/want-to-join-us-for-ultimate-road-trip.html

I certainly hope that some of my readers are not superstitious as I would hate to lose you for a day just due to a number.

Let’s crank up the radio with an appropriate song and start our journey then:

Since our trip is based on comments and my feed back lately, let me check to see where we are going to be starting our trip.

http://hannahsterry.com/ What an appropriate stop indeed.  Everything from music to cartoons here for our morning entertainment.

Our next stop is a bit of reading material for the passengers since the driver should only do that …

http://maggiestoriesawb.wordpress.com/ lots of great reading material here.

Now that you are content with reading material we are off to a new destination:

http://kloipy.wordpress.com/  This one is such a hot site we may have to stop for refreshments while reading since this one has been featured on Freshly Pressed. You will have to see for yourself why as it is so hot…it will make my pages sizzle if I let out the secret.

One of the fun things to do is meet travelers while you are traveling.  With that said lets meet:

http://patriciaddrury.com/ She seems to do a daily travel through life.  Not giving it away…go see…

Since 13 is not supposed to be a lucky number I am going to make this a short day and stop with the next blogger who should keep you quite entertained for the rest of the day with everything that he does…

http://pouringmyartout.wordpress.com/ You really never know what you are going to find when you go into the reader in the morning and see his posts.  I will say he is versatile in his style and bold and daring.  the rest you can see for yourself.

Until tomorrow I leave you with a song, Please pardon the language as I did not say it.  I thought I would go with a younger version

For you younger readers I will give you the original song also that proves my children are right (even though this is before my time) I am older than dirt.

Road Trip A-Z Challenge Day 12

Post A-to-Z Road Trip [2013]

http://www.a-to-zchallenge.com/2013/05/want-to-join-us-for-ultimate-road-trip.html

Hard to believe that our journey has brought us into day 12 already.  Time really does fly when you are having fun.

I really do hope that you have enjoyed the journey so far.

Lets stop first and see what snack our first visit is preparing so that we can at least eat as we travel.

http://rantingchef.com/author/rantingchef/ When someone is not guest blogging or he is not doing a competition, he is reviewing products for the kitchen here.  This was one of the first blogs that I began to follow.  I have even had the privilege to be able to be a guest blogger this past fall.  It was such fun.

Today he is whipping up with a tutorial a dish of http://rantingchef.com/2013/05/19/so-much-for-cooking-classes/

Green Beans with Caramelized Onions and Almonds

Now that we have our food lets travel on to our next stop:

http://fingerprintwriting.wordpress.com/

Totally pack a bag lunch before you visit this site as you are really going to be there for a while.  Elaine writes about her life and happenings in it that are real.  You are aware from the first line in each article that they are written from the heart and genuine.  I only hope you enjoy as much as I have.

Next stop since you are back now:

http://vosperdruiter.wordpress.com/ Getting a view from a Pastor of a Church, now I really hope that perhaps you at least packed a snack or two and perhaps a second bag lunch.  There is also a lot of great reading here.

Our next stop is at http://herapereira.com/ Who not only has poetry and several interesting blogs of her own but a few reblogs of interest.

Our last stop of the day since I really do need to get back to my house guest and stop being rude is:

http://womenwhothinktoomuch.wordpress.com/ If that site does not keep you busy till tomorrow, nothing will.    She has categories with subcategories that I think have subcategories. LOL

She is one busy gal.

Till tomorrow signing out,

Tammye Honey
